What Makes Flooring in Nashville Different
- Original hardwood in older homes. Craftsman bungalows and early 1900s houses in East Nashville, Germantown, and Belmont-Hillsboro often have original oak or pine that can be saved, but it may have been sanded many times already or hidden under carpet and vinyl for decades.
- Mid-century ranches with carpet over oak. Many homes in Inglewood, Donelson, Madison, and Hermitage were built with oak floors that were later carpeted. Refinishing is often far cheaper than people expect.
- Tall-and-skinny new builds. The narrow two-story homes across The Nations, Sylvan Park, 12 South and Wedgewood-Houston have long, steep staircases and open main floors that need careful stair and transition work.
- Short-term rentals and investment properties. Rental and Airbnb homes need floors that survive luggage, heels, and constant turnover without looking tired after one busy season.
- Humidity and moisture.Long, humid Middle Tennessee summers and damp crawlspaces in older homes push wood to swell and shrink, so moisture testing and the right product choice matter here more than in drier climates.
Flooring Services for Nashville Homes
Hardwood Installation for Nashville Homes
Whether you want to match original floors in a historic home or add wide-plank white oak to a new build, we install solid and engineered wood suited to your subfloor. See our full guide to hardwood flooring in Nashville, TN.
Refinishing Original Nashville Hardwood
Old Nashville floors often have more life left than they look. We check how much wood remains before sanding, so older boards are not over-sanded. Learn about hardwood floor refinishing in Nashville.
Laminate for Living Spaces and Rentals
Scratch resistant and budget friendly, laminate is a popular pick for bedrooms, living rooms and rental units across the city. Read more about laminate flooring in Nashville, TN.
LVP for Kitchens, Basements and Short-Term Rentals
Water resistant and quiet underfoot, LVP is the floor we recommend most for slab foundations, kitchens and rental properties that see heavy turnover. Details are on our LVP flooring Nashville services page.
Stairs in Tall-and-Skinny and Older Homes
Steep, narrow staircases are common in Nashville’s newer infill homes, and older homes often hide rough treads under carpet. We handle stair tread replacement, refinishing and carpet removal for both.
Why Hire Us as Your Nashville Flooring Company
One Team for Every Floor in Your Home
The same crew can handle hardwood upstairs, LVP in the kitchen, and new stair treads in between, so colors, heights, and transitions line up across the whole house.
The People Who Quote Are the People Who Work
We do not sell your project and pass it to a rotating subcontractor. The team that walks your Nashville home during the estimate is the team that installs or refinishes your floors.
Advice Based on Your Home, Not a Showroom
A 1920s bungalow over a crawlspace and a new build on a slab need very different floors. We recommend products based on what is under your floor, not what is easiest to sell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you located in Nashville?
Our home base is in Springfield, TN, about 30 miles north of downtown Nashville. We serve Nashville and all of Davidson County, and our crew schedules projects in the city every week.
Which Nashville neighborhoods do you serve?
We work across Davidson County, including East Nashville, Inglewood, Germantown, The Nations, Sylvan Park, 12 South, Belmont-Hillsboro, Green Hills, Donelson, Hermitage, Madison, Bellevue, and Antioch. If you are unsure, call us with your address.
Can you work in condos and HOA buildings?
Yes. We follow your building’s rules on work hours, elevator use, parking, and noise, and can help with any contractor paperwork your HOA or property manager requires.
What is the best flooring for a Nashville short-term rental?
For most rentals, we recommend LVP or quality laminate. Both stand up to luggage, heels, and heavy turnover, and LVP handles spills and wet shoes. Hardwood can work in lower-traffic rentals but needs more upkeep.
What flooring works best over a concrete slab?
Many newer Nashville homes and basements sit on slabs. LVP, laminate with a moisture barrier, and engineered hardwood are all good options. We don’t recommend solid hardwood directly over concrete.
Can the original hardwood in my older Nashville home be saved?
Often, yes. We check the thickness of the remaining wood, look for water damage and loose boards, and tell you honestly whether refinishing, repair or replacement makes the most sense.
Do you offer free estimates in Nashville?
Yes. Nashville flooring estimates are free and come with no obligation to book.
